Open Tender for Construction of Incinerators at Health Centres and Health Posts.

HelpAge has been operating in Ethiopia since 1992 and duly registered by the Charities and Societies agency Reg. No 816. HelpAge has been present in Ethiopia since the year 1992 and currently implementing multi sector programmes (health, refugee assistance, drought mitigation, social protection etc.) in Gambella, SNNPR, and Oromia regions of Ethiopia.

HelpAge International Ethiopia Office would like to invite qualified and interested bidders for construction of Incinerators at health centre and health posts in five woredas (Wachile, Dubuluk, Miyo, Moyale and Guchi) of Borena zone:

 1 HAI-ETH/003/22 Borena zone Guchi (Guchi Magala HP, Gofa HC & Arbora HP); Wachile (Wolensu & Kakalo HPs); Dubuluk (Higo & Anole HPs); Miyo (Hidi & Boku HC) and Moyale (Mado & Argane) Construction of Incinerator at Health

centre and Health post (#11)

Minimum qualifications required for the award of single or multiple contracts include the following:

  1. A trade license and construction service certificates valid for the current fiscal year.
  2. Valid registration certificate from the Ministry of Water, Irrigation and Electricity or from regional Bureaus of water & Energy and ministry of urban development and construction of Grade 6 and above for furnishing the necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of Incinerators at health facilities.
  3. License indicating category of contractor.
  4. VAT and TIN registration certificate.
  5. Testimony for financial turnover of in the preceding fiscal year verified by external auditors’ report.
  6. Testimony of liquid working capital verified by bank statement in the last three months.
  7. The offer Envelope shall be submitted as follows

7.1 The original and a copy of the offer document shall be sealed in separate envelopes and marked   “Original Proposal” and “Copy of Proposal” respectively.

7.2 The bid security shall be sealed in a separate envelope marked “Bid Security” (original & Copy)

7.3 The technical and financial offers shall be sealed separately

7.4 The envelopes in 7.1 shall then be sealed in an outer envelope marked “Technical and Financial Proposal” Additional details are provided in the Bidding Documents.

Bids shall be valid for a period of 45 (forty-five) days after Bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by bid security of at least not less than 2% of the bid price in Ethiopian Birr in the form of Bank Guarantee or CPO along with the bid proposals shall be delivered to HelpAge International Ethiopia Country office in Addis Ababa or Borena Zone, Mega field office with the following address on or before 2:00 PM, Feb 14,2022.

Bids shall be opened at 2:30 PM, Feb 14,2022, in the presence of the bidders or legal representatives who wish to attend. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected.
