The Pharo Foundation is a private foundation based in the United Kingdom and established in 2011. Committed to the development of Africa, the Foundation has been supporting projects in the Horn of Africa since its establishment. Our projects contribute towards increasing access to education, agriculture, health, and water and help improve people’s livelihoods.

  1. The Pharo Foundation invites registered contractors of Category  BC-5 and/or GC/BC-6 and above ( for LOT 12, 13 & 14) and Contractor category WWC-5 & above for Construction of Homosha Town water supply upgrading project with business license renewed for the year 2014 E.C, renewed construction competency certificate from Ministry of construction, registered for VAT &TIN, renewed permission letter for bidding from Inland Revenue Authorities for the current budget year, Registration Certificate from/under PPPAA, to submit the bid for providing the necessary labor, materials and equipment for the following constructions.
[#1] Lot-12Construction of OR [Operational Room] at Assosa health center compound

[#2] Lot-13Construction of ECCE (Early Child Care & Education) Center & Renovation of Classroom block at Homosha town primary school compound

[#3] Lot-14Construction of 2- Public latrines at Menge &Homosha towns.

[#4] Construction of Homosha Town water supply upgrading project

  • Poor performing, having been black listed in the region & by The Pharo Foundation for none or poor performing and termination of a project cannot compete for any bid. (Whenever recognized will automatically be rejected.)
  • To qualify for the award of the contract the bidder is required to fulfill the minimum qualification criteria which are provided in bidding document.
  • Bidding will be conducted through the standard Bidding Document (SBD) for procurement of works For National Competitive Biddings (NCB) prepared by the Federal Public Procurement and Property Administration Agency, 2011.

Ethiopia

  1. Bidders are instructed to submit “One Original” and “Two copies” of Technical and Financial; each document in different folders separately. Duly Labeled as ORIGIONAL AND COPY FOR BOTH PROPOSALS PROPERLY, and shall be wax sealed in large outer mother envelope.
  2. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of written application to the above address and payment of a non-refundable fee of birr 500.00 (Five Hundred birr) for each of document starting from the first appearance of this advertisement on the Ethiopia Herald/Reporter News for 14 calendar days. The final submission date and opening of the technical proposal will be on15th date of this announcement at 8:00 P.M local time respectively. If the 15th day is not a working date, it will be held on the next working day.
  3. All Bidders must be accompanied with a bid security of Ethiopia Birr 80,000 (Birr Eighty Thousand) for LOT 12, 13 & 14 & 130,000 birr (one hundred thirty thousand birr) for Homosha town water supply upgrading project being sealed together with the Technical Proposal. The bid security shall be payable on demand to the Foundation and must be an irrevocable letter of credit, or Bank Guarantee, or a certified payment Order (CPO) at the bidder’s option.
  4. Evaluation is to be carried out in two stages, Qualification application first and financial document of qualified bidders next.
  5. Bid will be opened in the presence of bidder’s Legal representatives who choose to attend at the Pharo Foundation Assosa program office of BGRS.
  6. Multiple awards to one bidder shall not be permitted.
  7. The Pharo Foundation reserves the right to reject all or parts of bids.
