Invitation to bidders

Local Competitive Auction No. RFP- 0001/2022

John Snow, Inc. (JSI) is a public health management firm, headquartered in the United States, dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the world. JSI has been implementing public health work in Ethiopia for over 25 years.

JSI DHA Ethiopia would like to invite interested bidders to sale in auction six used vehicles listed underneath.

Requirements for participants on the auction:

1. The bid document shall be obtained commencing from July 04 up to July 15, 2022, from USAID/DHA Project Office, Bole Main Road, Besides Alem Cinema, Africa Avenue Road, Noah Plaza Building, 4th floor, from Monday to Friday 9:00 -12:00 A.M. noon and 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. afternoon.
2. Participants shall deposit a non- refundable and non- deductible fee of Birr 200.00 into JSI/DHA Project bank account # 26813123 at Abyssinia Bank to “John Snow Inc” and bring the deposit slip with him/her while coming to collect the bid document.
3. Bidders shall be quite sure to register their name and direct line number, cell phone number, and e-mail address correctly while collecting bid documents. Failure in receipt of bid communications due to incorrectness of the above will not be the responsibility of JSI/DHA Project.
4. Bid proposal shall be accompanied by the (90 days) bid bond amounted 50,000.00 Birr in the form of CPO for each vehicle that bidders interested to bid for.
5. CPO shall address the Program name correctly as ‘John Snow Inc” and if bidders fail to do so shall be rejected automatically from the bid.
6. CPO amount will be forfeited if bid winners fail to pay the bid amount within two weeks after he/she is notified.
7. Bid winners are responsible to settle any custom duties/taxies as may be applicable before receipt of the vehicles and transfer of ownership title.
8. Individual Participants must be at least 18 years old and shall bring renewed ID card or Passport.
9. Bidders can collect bid document provided at reception of our office or from logistics found at  Noha Building from the above stated address.

10. Doors will be open for observation of the vehicles during the working days from July 11 to 15, 2022 between 9:00AM – 12 AM before noon and 2:00PM – 4:30PM in the afternoon at the above stated location.

11. Bid submission will be due on July 18, 2022 no later than 10:30 AM and late bid submission shall not be acceptable. And it shall be opened same day at 11:00 am in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives.
12. Bids must be submitted enclosed, stamped, signed by authorized person and detail address of bidder stating on the sealed envelope.

13. All winners will be responsible to move their respective vehicles awarded by themselves, JSI/DHA will not provide Transportation.
14. Unsuccessful bidders can collect their CPO from JSI/DHA after the bid winners are identified and disclosed.
15. The vehicles are sold on an ‘AS IS’, ‘WHERE IT IS’ and ‘NO RETURNABLE’ BASIS. JSI/DHA – DOES NOT guarantee any items in any way.

16. Bid winners are required to pay full amount of the winning price and collect the vehicle/vehicles with in two weeks after they are notified.
17. JSI/DHA has the right to cancel any or all bids.
18. Bid result will be notified at our office Noticeboard.
