Bid for Consultancy: RHRN2Baseline study

Introduction

The Right Here Right Now 2 program is implemented a by coalition comprising Development Expertise center (DEC), Ethiopia Women with Disabilities National Association(EWDNA), Talent Youth Association (TAYA), Organization for the Development of Women and Children-Ethiopia (ODWaCE). Afrihealth TV will be technically collaborating partners for the RHRN2 program.

RHRN2 project’s overall goal is to enable Ethiopian youth in all their diversity enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights in gender justice societies.

  This strategic objective/impact is achieved through specific four pathways (TOC). These are:

  1. Empowered young people make decisions about their reproductive health, voice their needs and claim their rights
  2. A critical mass reinforces positive norms and values regarding young people’s SRH and gender justice
  3. Policy Change: Government adopt, implement and account for human rights-based policies and laws that enable young people’s SRH and gender justice.
  4. Strengthened civil society for young people’s SRH and gender Justice.

The program’s implementation period is 5 years from 2021 to 2025. The baseline study is conducted at the beginning of the programme to inform its intervention design and PMEL framework. The baseline study will be undertaken in the intervention areas Bole, Yeka and Arada Subcities.  The consultancy will be contracted for the period of May – August 2021 for a maximum of 60 days. Core deliverables are a) inception report, b) collecting data and analysis, and c) final reporting. All work needs to be conducted in very close collaboration and together with the RHRN 2 Ethiopia Alliance members.

Objectives of the baseline

  1. The baseline study will be combined with a needs assessment and formative research to address knowledge gaps in order to inform programme interventions and strategies (e.g. advocacy strategy, public support strategy) related to the four pathways;
  2. The baseline study will validate the Theory of Change;
  3. The baseline study will contextualize the current indicator framework
  4. The baseline study will set the baseline values for indicators
  5. The baseline study will inform the target setting of our output and outcome indicators.

Conducting Desk Review of relevant literatures and key informant interviews with concerned stakeholders

The baseline study will validate the Theory of Change;

The baseline study will set the baseline values for indicators

Organize discussion with RHRN2 Alliance members based to set baseline values based on findings from baseline study

The baseline study will inform the target setting of your output and outcome indicators.
