  INVITATION FOR COMBINE HAREVESTER SUPPLY BID

Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association (EWNRA) is a civil society organization, non-political, non-religious and not-for-profit civil society organization working in areas of sustainable wetlands, forests/natural resources management as well as in livelihood improvement with the aim to achieve the dual goals of environment and development in Ethiopia.

Currently EWNRA in partnership with Cooperative Development Foundation (CDF) Canada Ethiopia Office with funding available from Global Affairs Canada through CDF Canada is implementing a project entitled: “4R-Nutrient Stewardship Project (4R-NSP)” in Minjar-Shenkora Woreda, Semien Shewa Zone, Amhara Regional State.

One of the project activities is related to technology transfer to the local farming community to improve crop productivity. In order to execute this specific activity EWNRA is looking to procure a Combine Harvester and hand over to Sama Multi-Purpose Cooperative within Minjar Shenkora Woreda, Semien Shewa Zone. Accordingly, EWNRA would like to invite potential bidders to submit their price quotes at Addis Ababa more specifically at their warehouses and detailed information about the harvester they are bidding to sell based on the following specifications.

Machinery Needed: Combine Harvester with its complete accessories

A self-propelled combine harvester suitable for harvesting and threshing wheat and barley as main crop with the following specification:

6 cylinders, turbo charged, diesel and water-cooled.

Output of 150 – 160 horse power

Fuel Tank of 180 – 220 liters

Therefore, all interested suppliers are invited to submit a formal detailed quotation (Pro forma) together with their technical document that depicts also the delivery time in sealed envelope with the following documents:

• Registration to participate in tender from Ministry of Finance; currently renewed business license; Registration of value added Tax (VAT)
• Bids must be delivered to the address below on Thursday, January 05, 2023 at or before 8:00pm local time in person;

• The bid will be opened on the same day at 02:30pm or 08:30 Ethiopian time at Ethio Wetlands and Natural Resources Association on the presence of bidders or authorized representative who wishes to attend.

NB: Please issue the bid by the name of “Sama Multipurpose Cooperative”

The purchasers reserve the right to reject the bid in full or partially.
