 Invitation to Bid for External Audit

Interpeace is an international organization for peacebuilding, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. Its aim is to strengthen the capacities of societies to manage conflict in non-violent, non-coercive ways by assisting national actors in their efforts to develop cohesion.

Interpeace registered in Ethiopia on March 2021 with the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organization as a Foreign Organization in accordance with the Civil Society Organizations Proclamation No. 1113/2019.

Interpeace Ethiopia Office likes to invite interested and eligible external audit firms to submit their Technical and Financial Proposal for Audit work services of its accounts for the fiscal year 2022, the contract will possibly be renewed for an additional two years based on the firm’s performance.

Objectives and Scope of Audit

The objective of this tender is to have the accounts and related financial reports of Interpeace Ethiopia office audited for the year ending December 31, 2022. The documents to be audited are about 10 box files. The audit shall be carried out in accordance with International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) and as per the guidelines required by Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Authority for Civil Society Organization Proclamation No. 1113/2019 and Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).

Eligible bidders

As part of their Technical Proposals, bidders are required to attach copies of their:

  1. Certificate of Professional Competence from Accounting and Audit Board of Ethiopia
  2. Renewed Trade License 2015 Ethiopian fiscal year
  3. Value Added Tax (VAT) certificate
  4. Tax Identification Number (TIN) Certificate
  5. The audit firm’s profile, relevant experience in conducting INGO accounts and full address
  6. Time frame required to complete the audit work including the final audit submission date
  7. Previous experience of auditing financial statements prepared based on IPSAS
