Description

Invitation for Consultancy Services

Pact is the promise of a better tomorrow for communities challenged by poverty and marginalization. We serve these communities because we envision a world where everyone owns their future. To do this, we build systemic solutions in partnership with local organizations, businesses, and governments that create sustainable and resilient communities where those we serve are heard, capable, and vibrant. On the ground in nearly 40 countries, Pact’s integrated adaptive approach is shaping the future of international development. Pact has been working in Ethiopia since 1995 and manages several projects on Sustainable Market and Livelihoods, Governance, Health, Capacity Development, and Innovation.

As part of its initiatives, currently Pact with the support of United States Department of State Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor (DRL) is implementing the “Mobilizing and Enhancing Local Actors for Peace (MELA-Peace)” project. While religious and ethnic tensions have existed throughout Ethiopia’s history, strong traditional conflict resolution systems have successfully settled disputes between conflicting groups. Pact aims to build the foundation towards a more stable and socially cohesive community. The project is implemented in collaboration Ethiopian Evangelical Church Mekane Yesus Development and Social Services Commission (DASSC) and Zinc Network.

MELA-Peace will implement a multi-pronged approach that supports local communities to build the foundation for conflict transformation by addressing the drivers of conflict, mitigating violence, and preventing its escalation, and countering mis/disinformation and hate speech.

Terms of references (ToRs) are therefore issued to invite consultants of reputable and proven track record in translation of material from Amharic and or English into Afan Oromo and in experience in Strategic Behavior Change Communication Development and in contextualizing training materials, training facilitation on:
