SCRAP SALE 

The International Community School of Addis Ababa (ICS) invites interested bidders to submit price offers for the following used materials on “AS IS” basis.

1. Used Household Furniture & Appliances (Includes Mattresses & Washers)
2. II) Used metal folding chairs

     III)   Used IT Equipment (Includes smartboards, laptops & monitors)

1. IV)  Used Wood & Metal Scraps (Includes corrugated & Ega sheets)
2. V)   Used Plumbing Fittings, Tools and other accessories…

INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS:

1. Interested bidders can buy bid document from the school’s cashier office on working days and submit their offers from Thursday Dec 22, 2022, through Thursday Dec 29, 2022, from 9:30AM to 3:00PM by paying a non-refundable cash payment of Birr 200.00. Cashier office will be closed for lunch from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
2. The scrap materials can be inspected at the International Community school compound on the mentioned dates and time frames.
3. Bid offers must be submitted latest by Thursday Dec 29, 2022, till 3:00pm in a sealed              envelope marked “BID OFFER” addressed to International Community School of Addis Ababa and shall be inserted into a bid box prepared for this purpose at the school’s Cashier Office.
4. Lump sum offer shall be made for designated LOTs. Individual offer for specific item will not be considered and accepted. Please note that ICS does not collect Value Added Tax (VAT) from this scrap sale.

5. Buyers are responsible for safe removal of the scrap materials from ICS premises after paying the total bid amount.
6. The International Community School of Addis Ababa is unable to provide any assistance, either mechanical or manpower for the removal of the scrap materials.
7. Bids must be accompanied with a bid bond of 5% of the total offered value endorsed by certified cheque (CPO). The bid bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after completion of the bid process. Bid bond of successful winner will be considered with the total winning amount.
8. The successful bidder will be notified by a letter of award to make payment to International Community School within 3(THREE) working days. And the winner shall pay the full bid amount and remove the items within 3 (Three) working days after receiving the letter of award.
9. If the winner fails to pay the winning bid amount to the school within three working days and remove the awarded items, the school shall withhold the entire Bid Bond amount and dispose the scrap materials in any way it sees fit.
10. Bids received after the closing date will be automatically rejected.

11. The International Community School of Addis Ababa reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids for any reason.

Bids should be marked as “Purchase of Scrap Materials” and submitted to the School’s Cashier Office before or on Thursday Dec 29, 2022, till 3:00pm.
